Lylie Fisher is an award winning visual artist; her artwork is exhibited and collected internationally.The Australian Government honored Lylie with a Fellowship for her contributions to community cultural development. She went onto accept a three year International Scholarship at San Francisco State University, and has lived in the United States since 1998.Lylie has a BA in Visual Arts, Masters in Industrial Design, and Advanced Graduate Certificate in Transformational Coaching.For over twenty years Lylie has facilitated dynamic creative art programs that support organizations and individuals to powerfully embrace their full creative potential, explore artistic expression and develop a passion for self expression.
Artist Statement
I am drawn to interdisciplinary explorations that reveal qualities of fundamental physical and emotional awareness. Through collaborations with science I investigate echoes of shared cultural triggers, personal reverberations, and mythological resonances. This metaphor is a familiar theme explored in my work and for many years I have developed a narrative that speaks to the vulnerability and unknown nature of life.
