USA - University of Chicago, Science In Art: 10 October to 13 December, 2008 This unique exhibition features art from scientist-artists at The University of Chicago, Argonne National Laboratories, and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and artists whose primary subject is science. It highlights cross-disciplinary connections in the development, expression and exploration of novel ideas and encourages dialogue between scientists and the public.
ITALY - Galileium (Teramo, Italy): 6 May to 30 June 2008 Mid year the series exhibited at Galileium, the new physics and astrophysics museum in Teramo, Italy.
ITALY - The National Museum of Abruzzo (L'Aquila, Italy): 1 February to 30 April 2008 The In Search of Meaning series is currently on tour in Italy. On March 8 I travelled to Italy for the reception and present a lecture. The series is exhibited at the National Museum of Abruzzo, in L'Aquila, as part of a Leonardo da Vinci art and technology exhibition (Feb 1 - April 30). Hosted by the Italian National Physics Laboratory in Gran Sasso, I gave a joint public lecture on art, culture and science with renowned Italian physicist Alessandro Bettini. Launch Exhibitions FermiLab Art Gallery (Batavia, IL) - July 3 - August 22, 2007 Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (Stanford, CA) - March through June, 2007. UC Davis (Davis, CA) - February, 2007 Lylie Fisher was the featured guest at Davis's HEFTI public lecture series. Lylie introduced the In Search of Meaning project and discussed her motivations for creating the artwork.
