Living in Washington DC is different from any other city in the US. Washington DC is the center of political decision making that influences the way all Americans live. Whether working for a government agency, being part of an established non profit or on the edge of progressive advocacy, Washington DC offers the opportunity to make a change.
In this environment the balance between professional goals and private dreams is often strained.
Life / Work - and me! I have designed this ongoing series of group coaching sessions for working professionals to take time out of their busy week, unwind, explore robust themes, set individual goals and receive dynamic coaching/mentor support.
Each group has a unique demographic :

NOW - Established Professionals
EXPLORERS - Mid Career in Transition
Groups meet once per week, close to Metro Sessions are 90 minutes Maximum 10 participants

Facilitated by Lylie Fisher who offers over 25+ years experience with the non profit sectors in the United States and Australia. I started my career in local government and continued to accept leadership roles with trade unions and advocacy organizations. Throughout my professional life I have faced work and personal challenges similar
to those clients are dealing with today. As a trained coach I support participants to realize their highest potential, while maintaining integrity and quality of life.

Congratulations you have come a long way! Yes there were roadblocks along the way and you have faced challenges and succeeded. On your horizon are new dilemmas and joys: wrestling with high profile career advancement, community responsibilities, sharing your life with a significant other, parenthood, choosing both or neither and discovering your way of being whole.
The NOW group serves established professionals who seek support and practical guidance on navigating within the mid career/life context. As we face personal fulfillment questions within a framework of demanding career commitments, more subtle aspects of our strengths and weaknesses are revealed. Life / Work - and me! offers clear coaching and support that ensures participants fulfill their potential.

Often when faced with transition we try to run in the opposite direction, in fact, the best place to be is at the core of change. Whether faced with job loss, diminishing motivation to keep a job, upheaval within the workplace or nagging questions of alternative career directions, the EXPLORER group tackles the diversity of transition.
Transition is simply the uncomfortable space between satisfactions. In this context Life / Work - and me! participants are coached and supported to explore this opportunity and common questions: Current career path - am I committed to it? Where else would I like to live and work? What professional goals are still motivating? What do I need now, in 6 months, 12 months, 18 months?
